Project Overview
The Allianz fit-out at Melbourne’s 555 Collins St, crafted by the formidable force that is Gray Puksand, is a testament to innovation, sustainability, and the power of collaboration. With a scope of 1,000m², this project aimed to foster a cultural shift within Allianz, increase occupancy, and of course embody the company's core values.
The design brief was clear: create a workspace that resonates with Allianz’s commitment to well-being, productivity, and a sense of belonging. Engaging with staff to understand their needs and aspirations, the project team ensured the space truly supported these objectives - and it worked. The result is a vibrant, sustainable, and future-ready environment. And talking of the future, sustainability was a top priority too, with the aim of achieving a 6-star Green Star accreditation. Natural elements and wellness spaces are seamlessly integrated, highlighting Allianz's ongoing dedication to the environment, building with intension and helping to preserve our planet for future generations.
Innovation shines through every aspect of this project, it's inescapable. The fit-out marked the first use of the unique LIVA paddle ceiling system in Victoria, and the first anodised LIVA paddle ceiling in Australia.
Keen to push boundaries and think a little differently, Gray Puksand refined the popular Geo Open Cell ceiling trend by reducing the cell blade width from 15mm to 9mm, which resulted in an elegant and monolithic ceiling gracing walkways and atriums.
The partnership between Allianz, Gray Puksand, Capabuild, and Puzzle was exemplary during this build, resulting in a design that not only met, but wildly exceeded expectations. Thoughtful spatial planning, agile workshopping zones, and cutting-edge technology were meticulously woven into the workspace, supporting both day-to-day work and continuous learning.
This fit-out is so much more than just an office; it’s an environment that fosters growth, well-being, and a strong sense of community. It sets a new standard for office interiors, perfectly encapsulating the power of collaboration and thoughtful design.
