Project Overview
Interior design firm E.G.O based out of Sydney wanted to created something very different on level 37 at KPMG’s new 30,000m² fit-out in Collins Square recently completed Tower 2.
Working closely with E.G.O and our metal ceiling manufacturing partner, the Metal Pan 330 ceiling was selected with two very unique perforation patterns – a large and small ‘Y’ shape. Never before manufactured. We developed new tooling for the smaller ‘Y’, whilst accurately laser cutting the larger. The smaller ‘Y’ perforated panels came equipped with a 16mm x 80kg/m³ black acoustic pad in the back, achieving absorption levels of 1.0NRC, perfect for the large open area space. The larger ‘Y’perforated panels were used as illuminated feature lighting, with a prismatic diffuser and LED light box placed in the rear.A complex design and manufacture process has resulted in something quite special.
